What to do
- Get your frying pan hot on the stove. Medium heat is good.
- Put your bacon strips in the pan. Let them cook. You want them brown and a bit crispy. Usually takes about 5 to 7 minutes. Flip them halfway.
- Take the bacon out when it looks the way you like it. Put it on some paper towel, so it’s less greasy.
- Keep the bacon grease in the pan if you want, or pour out a bit if there’s too much.
- Crack a couple eggs into the pan. Careful with the shells!
- Let the eggs cook until the whites are set and the yolks are how you like them. Sunny side up is easy, but you can flip them if you want.
- Sprinkle some salt and pepper on the eggs. You can add some chopped green onion if you like (not a must).
- Put the bacon and eggs on a plate. Eat it while it’s hot!
lightbulb_2 Tips
- Bacon cooks fast so watch it. If it gets too dark, turn down the heat.
- If you like your bacon extra crispy, leave it in a little longer.
- No bacon? Ham works. Or even sausage.
- Want less grease? Take some out of the pan before you add the eggs.
- Eggs stick less if the pan is hot enough before you add them.
- You can put some bread in the pan too and toast it in the bacon fat. Seriously, it’s good.
