How to Make Green Tea
- Boil some water, about a cup for each person. You can use a kettle or a small pot, whatever you have.
- Turn the water off as soon as it starts bubbling. You don’t want it rolling crazy hot, just hot enough. Super hot water can make green tea taste kinda bitter.
- Put a green tea bag (or about a spoon of loose green tea) into your favorite mug.
- Pour the hot water over the tea. Just cover it.
- Let it sit for about 2 to 3 minutes. If you let it sit too long, it gets bitter. If you like it stronger, wait a tiny bit longer.
- Take out the bag or strain the leaves.
- That’s it. You can drink it as is. Sometimes I add a tiny bit of honey or a slice of lemon, just for fun.
Enjoy your tea!
lightbulb_2 Tips
- Don’t use boiling water or the tea turns bitter, just let the water cool for a bit after boiling
- If you don’t have a bag, loose tea works. Just put it in, then strain it out.
- If you forget about it and it’s too strong, just add a bit more hot water to fix it.
- Great with honey if you want it sweet, or a little lemon if you want zing.
- Works in the microwave, honestly. Just heat water in the mug, pop the bag in after.
